A great thing about wine is that it connects you to the past, the present, and the future all at the same time.  While we are dealing with a challenging 2018 harvest we are introducing our 2016 Grand Sun Syrah.  The grapes for this wine were picked on the day our first grandson was born, November 9th, 2016. The chance to pull off something like that comes, well, once in a lifetime!  Jackson Bahm Herman represents the 8th generation of the Herman family farm.  Jack and the wine are both maturing nicely and show unlimited potential.  Dad Keith continues to knock it out of the park with his winemaking skills.  We are tasting some incredible wines in the cellar that let us know that the best is yet to come.  In the meantime, we’ve got a harvest to finish, a birthday to celebrate, and some wine to drink.  Jackson will have to wait 19 more birthdays before he can enjoy his namesake wine.  I hope his older sister Gwen saves some for him!
